So the journey begins! Sitting at the airport in Calgary getting ready to head to Poland via Frankfurt. So excited!

I had another trip planned which didn't go through and so I decided to head to Poland. I've always been fascinated by my Grampa (Wiens’) story of immigrating to Canada and so I'm heading to his ancestral homeland and searching for any information on his (my) family and him.

As part of the trip I will also be doing an 8 day WWII site tour, which I'm so looking forward to, though I know it will be quite emotional. I'm visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp(s) on September 2nd, the first site of many.

I would really appreciate your healing thoughts, support and strength on that date. I know I may need this!

I hope to make updates along the way but if not I will be sharing pictures and stories as I return. In the meantime, be well everyone!
